an everlasting obsession

as you may already know, one of my life goals is to have every single book in the Baby-sitters Club series.

what?
what do you mean you don't know that series?
did you live under a rock during the 1990's?

because i'm too lazy to explain what they're all about, and there's hundreds of the books in the series, you can easily google it if you don't know the awesomeness that is BSC (that's short for Baby-sitters Club, in case you can't figure that out).

i am pleased to say that there's a new BSC book coming out, after the series supposedly ended in 2000 (which i still haven't found the last book anywhere!). this new book is a prequel (i can't seem to understand why prequels are all the rage now), and it's called the Summer Before.

since sadly, as my brother informed me, Amazon.com doesn't send books to Indonesia (what's up with that, Amazon? i am heartbroken), i have lost all hope in completing my BSC collection.
when i get lucky, i sometimes could find a couple used ones when i hunt for books in Singapore, but that rarely happens.
and so, you can imagine my delight when the announcement of the prequel coming out, plus the reprinting of series.

plus, my brother said he's going to try and order some books from Amazon to be sent to Japan, where he currently lives, and he said i could order books from him.

i'm compiling my list.

another thing i can't give up..

yeah, sure, i'm a medical student now, and people expect me to read good, educational books.
but come on. who am i kidding? those books that i'm supposed to read? BORING.

instead, i fill my brain up with books like the baby-sitters club, which is much more adequate for my intellectual level. hehehhee.
another reading material that i can never give up is..

manga.
or otherwise known as japanese comics.

yeah, my friends think i'm a geek for obsessing over comics and all, but honestly, i don't care.
kalo dirata-rata mungkin seminggu gue bisa beli satu komik.

karna skarang komik jepang buanyak banget jenisnya, i focus on series that i already know are good.
ato yang direkomendasiin temen.

now, since i got a boyfriend yang ternyata sama freaknya tentang komik, gue tambah ga peduli deh mo dibilang apa tentang komik2 gue. huehehehehe. =D
skarang karna koneksi internet di rumah uda oke, buat menghemat dan mumpung libur juga, gue baca banyak komik online. hehehe. =)

serial2 yang skarang lagi gue ikutin antara lain *bukan urutan prioritas*:
bleach
nodame chantabile
detective conan
perfect girl evolution
kunimitsu

kalo buat yang uda tamat tapi terjemahan indonesianya masi jalan dan gue beli:
death note
prince of tennis

kalo yang uda tamat tapi baguss:
kareshi kanojo
penguin brothers

masi banyak sih yang lain, tapi itu dulu deh. hehehe.
ada juga serial2 bagus tapi blom sempet gue baca, kayak ouran high school host club ato apa gitu judulnya?
ada juga yang mencoba mempengaruhi gue buat baca naruto dan 20th century boys, but not yet.
pengen juga baca vagabond, tapi blom sempet.
oh well.
this is what vacation is for!! =)

dexter!

i always thought Dexter was a neat name.

some time back, pas kakak gue lagi pulang dari jepang, dia nyeritain ada serial tv baru, judulnya Dexter. ceritanya tentang serial killer gitu.

dari cerita kakak gue, tampaknya bagus..

tapi berhubung waktu itu koneksi internet di rumah masih ble'e, blom ada akses buat nontonnya deh.

skarang, dengan speedy wireless *lagi2 promosi, hehehe* akhirnya aku bisa nonton dexter!

dan emang kerennn..

ternyata ceritanya di ambil dari novel, dan gue sempet baca 1 chapter di websitenya..

OOHHHH bagus sekaliii..

MAUUUU!!!

skarang novelnya uda 3 seri, AND I WANT THEM ALLLLL!!

kenapa gue ga kepikiran buat nyari ini waktu di Spore ya?

bodoh..

kalo ada yang mo beliin tiga2nya, jangan lupa beliin juga Baby-Sitters Club Friends Forever: Graduation Day yah!! *ngarep*

jadi kepikiran kalo punya anak cowo jadi pengen namain Dexter!

of course not in the hopes that he'll ever be a serial killer, but after Dexter in Dexter's Laboratory - the cartoon. hehehehehehe.. =D
